something i made to help plan out verayna (small-brawler.deviantart.com/a…) and rayn's (small-brawler.deviantart.com/a…) abilities

verayna's magic prowess extends into pyrokinesis and umbrakinesis and rayn can use terrakinesis and hydrokinesis (as mentioned in previous submissions)

verayna's magic is inherent as she's a witch and has taught herself how to harness and use it from a very young age, but rayn was given his magic abilities by the fairies of the glade

they can both use their magic in similar ways, but most notably through mimicry, wherein they can take the form of whichever of their elements they chose to to do things such as teleport or fly short distances or even "surf", constructs that include shields and weapons (such as spears, whips, clubs or armor), and heal themselves or allies using their elements

likewise to having similar ways of utilizing their powers, they have the same limitations too: verayna cannot generate fire or shadows herself and must use what already exists in her environment (she's often seen carrying a lantern for this reason), just as rayn cannot generate water and can only use what's already around him. this limitation isn't so much a problem for him when it comes to his earthen powers (bc that shit's everywhere lmao) but he can only manipulate earth. this includes stone, mud, dirt, ect. elements like metal, plastic and wood are useless to him and if the circumstances aren't in his favor they can easily be put to use against him instead

also in case anyone's wondering: the water rayn has there is gross n brown bc i was goin for icky swamp water
